What I noticed is
that whenever you make sandwiches for your toddler, try to get thin bread or
you can flatten the bread by rolling and don’t put too much filling. They
always like thin, tiny bite size sandwich pieces. When you choose bread, as a
healthy option you can choose fiber rich whole-wheat bread. But that did not
work with my son; he is not a big fan of any kind of bread. But at least he
will give try with white bread. I know, every child is differentJ. About spread, if
your toddler likes mayonnaise, choose reduced-fat versions to keep their intake
of saturated fat low. I personally prefer cream cheese spread, because it has
more protein and calcium, which is definitely need for our little-ones bone
building. Today I am sharing few simple sandwich ideas with you all Mommies and
Daddies.
Ingredients
Sliced breads
Cream cheese
Chocolate chips
Cookie cutters or
sandwich cutters
Method
Step 1: By using
the cookie cutters, cut a bear, star or any shape from the bread.
Step 2: Spread
cream cheese on one side of the bread and put other slice on top.
Step 3: For making
chocolate spread, microwave chocolate chips for about 40 seconds and spread the
melted chocolate on top of one slice and top with the other slice bread. I add few
sprinkles on top of the chocolate spread for a little crunchy and pretty look. Cut
the big slices into tiny bite size pieces. Little sandwiches are ready to serve.
Serve with warm milk.
