My 2 Simple Avocado recipes (For age 5+ months)

Oh my darling Avocados! I love Avocados. I still remember seeing our son's face when he first tasted pureed avocado- Wow, it was priceless!. I give him avocados three times a week, sometimes more. Usually babies will love it due to their mild flavor, beautiful color and creamy texture. Avocados are one of the best first fresh foods you can introduce to your baby. Yes, these recipes are absolutely 'NO COOK' treat for your little-ones and easy for busy Moms.

Recipe 1

Avocado puree and avocado mash (3 Servings each)

Ingredients
Ripe Avocado- 1
Liquid (Water, breast milk, whole milk or formula)

Process
Step 1: Cut the avocado in half and remove the stone.

Step 2: Scoop out the flesh with a spoon.

Step 3: (For making avocado puree): Place them in blender. Start blending on low, adding desired liquid (water, breast milk, whole milk or formula) until you have a smooth puree.

Step 3: (For making avocado mash): Place them in a bowl and mash it with a fork. I always use my mash & bowl to mash the avocados.

Serve fresh! You can also store it in freezer if you have leftover.

Recipe 2

Avocado+banana (1 serving)

Ingredients
Avocado- 1/2
Banana- 1/2

Process
Step 1: Cut the avocado in half and remove the stone.

Step2 : Scoop out the flesh with a spoon.

Step 3: Peel the banana and cut in half.

Step 4: Mash the avocado together with the banana and add liquid (whole milk/ breast milk/ formula) to reach desired consistency.

Serve fresh! I usually do not make them in large quantities since banana and/or avocado turn brown when frozen.

HAPPY COOKING!
